The Riviera just shat out the transmission mount. Driving it is now 10x more interesting. Also the wind ripped the door out of my hand and put a huge dent in the Miata, right where I already paid a PDR guy $60 to take out a dent, except it also took off a ton of paint thus totally fucking my plans to put on a new door (which I already have) and it look halfway decent. Miata gonna be full-on beat-up ghetto now, because the universe doesn’t want me to have nice things.

Maybe you could consider a 1993 Camry. That probably wouldn’t have any issues.

That sucks, bro.

Wind was being a real hassle today. Somebody’s control burn is not so controlled anymore, so I’m currently living in a smoke cloud.

Your luck with cars is just awful.

How does wind rip a door off, and also why was it only in your hand? Did it fall off or something. I am genuinely confused right now.

It ripped the door out of my hand. I was holding the door ajar as I got in my Buick and a gust of wind (we’ve been having some obscene wind gusts today, one guy said 70mph but I haven’t checked the weather channel. I wouldn’t doubt it) hit the enormous door so hard it flew out of my hand and swung open right into the Miata. I thought I parked far enough away but, damn, Riviera doors are HUGE.

I’m convinced I am somehow a universal focal point for entropy.

Oh, yeah. Entire city is covered in a blanket of smoke. Super fun times for someone who’s sick.

I’ll be the one guy that gets a lemon of a Camry.

Yeah, hopefully some rain will help.

In order to keep my 240k mile BMW running I performed a voodoo ritual to transfer all mechanical maladies to you. It seems to have worked as I have not had any issues with it in a year.

Oh, I thought you meant was actually ripped off the car. That would have been much worse, but still a generally craptastic experience.

I’d take 6 inches, please. And also some rain.

Huh. So instead of motor mounts and transmissions I should be buying voodoo dolls?

I’ve seen that happen. Friend’s 80s-era Camaro. Wind whipped his door back and it shattered the hinges. The silence was stunning.

Get two, one will suck and I mean, come on, It’s a Toyota, they probably made the 1st one on April fools day. (Dramatic text reenactment) Worker 1- “Hey, let’s pull an April fools joke on a customer car,” Worker 2- “Hey, I know, let’s only build it to last 5 Nuclear apocalypses instead of the usual 6 apocalypse survival span.” Worker 1- “Great idea, It will be so funny for the guy who gets this car,”. (Many years later) Jake- “ Hey, a Camry for sale! Finally a reliable used car,” (uses VIN checker) “Built on April fools day? Cool! What could possibly go Wrong?”

So bad car luck plagues not only you but those around you too? This must be some crazy voodoo curse or something.

I think it’s time you get a Land Rover of some sort, because you have no luck with seemingly reliable cars. Maybe your luck lies with terrible cars.

You can’t eliminate or cancel it, all you can do is transfer it to someone else.

Or you’ll hate it so it’ll live forever.

I new I should’ve gotten that Jaguar

It probably would be reliable for you, as long as it had the original engine.
